Rare earth price index trend chart in January 2025
In January, the rare earth price index remained basically stable. The average price index for this month was 167.5 points. The highest price index was 170.0 points from January 23 to 27, and the lowest was 163.8 points on January 2. The difference between the high and low points was 6.2 points, and the fluctuation range was about 3.7%.
II. Major rare earth products
(I) Light rare earth
In January, the average price of praseodymium-neodymium oxide was 407,200 yuan/ton, up 0.5% from the previous month; the average price of praseodymium-neodymium metal was 501,100 yuan/ton, up 0.3% from the previous month.

In January, the average price of neodymium oxide was 412,300 yuan/ton, basically the same as the previous month; the average price of neodymium metal was 506,900 yuan/ton, basically the same as the previous month.

In January, the average price of praseodymium oxide was 421,600 yuan/ton, up 0.2% from the previous month. The average price of 99.9% lanthanum oxide was 4,000 yuan/ton, the same as the previous month. The average price of 99.99% europium oxide was 195,000 yuan/ton, the same as the previous month.
(II) Heavy rare earths
In January, the average price of dysprosium oxide was 1.6492 million yuan per ton, up 1.5% from the previous month: the average price of dysprosium iron was 1.6121 million yuan per ton, up 1.4% from the previous month.

In January, the average price of 99.99% terbium oxide was 5.8511 million yuan per ton, up 3.6% from the previous month:
The average price of terbium metal was 7.2934 million yuan per ton, up 2.9% from the previous month.

In January, the average price of holmium oxide was 427,100 yuan/ton, down 2.2% from the previous month; the average price of holmium iron was 436,700 yuan/ton, down 2.2% from the previous month.
